The protein kinase FYN is present in growth cones of mouse cerebellar granule cells during brain development (1). It has been suggested that FYN cooperates with voltage sensitive sodium channel beta subunits to facilitate normal granule cell axon migration (2). In the banner, tissue sections of both normal and fyn knockout mouse cerebellum were immunostained for beta catenin and the immunostaining pattern (red) visualized by confocal microscopy.
